Xie Jingru, a military instructor who served the school for over ten years, retired and thanked the students for her dedication to the law school during her service in NCCU
Xie Jingru, the military instructor of the Student Safety Counseling Center of the School Affairs Office, has been in charge of the counseling affairs of the Law School since she took office in the school. She has been in charge of the counseling affairs of the Law School for over 10 years. She officially retired on May 10th this year. On the eve of Instructor Xie’s retirement on May 6th, Dean Cheng-Hsien Hsu of the Law School presented Zhengda Brick Burning and a souvenir for the 60th anniversary of the school to express our greatest gratitude to Instructor Xie. Friends, love life like sons, exquisite beauty, sincerity forever”, which is integrated into the school motto of National Chengchi University, “Dear and Sincere”, is also the best portrayal of Instructor Xie’s service spirit.
Instructor Xie served in National Chengchi University on February 1, 2002. From the very beginning, she served as a counselor for the Law School, and devoted the last 10 years of her 26-year career to National Chengchi University. When the instructor reviewed the counseling work, she also expressed her deep gratitude to the law school teachers and administrative colleagues for their support and cooperation! Including the rapid and close cooperation of our colleagues when students have unexpected situations, and the willingness of our teachers to listen to students' needs when students need them, all of which make the follow-up tutoring work more smoothly.
Regarding the changes in the characteristics of students during the service period, Instructor Xie said that in the past 10 years, the situation of students' confusion has increased, which may be because everyone gradually tolerates "not choosing", which leads to the current students need more time to accompany them and guide them to choose bravely the way you want to go. The instructor also mentioned the importance of inheritance and the connection of experience, and with her strong encouragement, she established the Law School Lu Sheng Legal Public Welfare Consulting Association in November last year. Lu Sheng is studying at National Chengchi University. The association is mainly operated by students independently. In addition to the teachers currently teaching in the school, there are also practicing lawyers who provide free consultation, which has become a strong backing for mainland students in Taiwan. In the future, the association hopes to expand services to Taiwan students in mainland China. Dean Hsu also mentioned that the honorary college mentor system that the Law School is planning, is expected to invite graduate seniors to serve as honorary mentors, not only to let students know about the future workplace, but also to enhance the inheritance and connection of law alumni.
Finally, the instructor wished the students of the law school that no matter what position they hold in the future, they can insist that they are a warm and brave person: cherish the kindness of others to themselves, and insist on being brave and kind to others. On the occasion of Instructor Xie's retirement, all the teachers and students from the Law School deeply thank the instructor for her dedication over the past 10 years, and wish a happy retirement life!
